Ottawa Eco-Logical Competition

The first annual Ottawa Eco-Logical Competition is a three-day student charrette to develop a conceptual design of a green building that meets environmental, social, and economic goals for sustainability.

The competition is open to college and university students in engineering, architecture, urban planning, interior design, design, environment, project management, and related fields. A total of 56 students will be placed in one of seven teams that will compete for cash (up to $7,000) and in kind prizes.

Students will learn about Charrettes and will apply these principles while working together as an integrated team to design a new green facility for the Canada Science and Technology Museum.

Tickets are $50 plus GST for students with a valid student card, $100 plus GST for others, and $750 plus GST for a corporate table for 8.

Green Building Ottawa Conference May 12-14, 2010
